Chiappa Rhino Revolvers for Sale Online in Detroit, Michigan
Chiappa Firearms, also known as Armi Sport de Chiappa, is an Italian firearm manufacturer based in Brescia, Italy, founded in 1958 by Ezechiele Chiappa. The company’s U.S headquarters are located in Dayton, Ohio.
Chiappa guns are reproductions of older firearms and muzzle-loaders, and their target markets include reenacting, target shooting, collecting, Cowboy Action Shooting, and hunting.
Besides the reproductions, Chiappa also manufactures an original revolver, called the Chiappa Rhino, a revolver often praised for its impressive technical aspects.
What’s Special About It?
The Rhino is one of the most innovative revolver designs in history, unrestrained by previous design limitations. This revolver is different inside and out. It fires from the bottom of the cylinder, while most other revolvers fire from the top. The axis of the bore is lowered almost to the palm of the user’s hand, significantly reducing muzzle rise and recoil felt.
The Rhino is lightweight and easy to carry around, thanks to the materials it’s made of. The frame and the barrel are made of an aluminum allow to achieve this effect. The bottom of the barrel shroud features accessory rails on the 4”, 5” and 6” barrel models. These accessory rails allow for easy mounting of lasers and lights.
The 6” Rhino model comes with rails on both the top and the bottom of the barrel, making it possible for the user to mount optics as well as lasers and lights. Another innovation seen in the Chiappa Rhino revolvers is the completely enclosed firing mechanism, which can be fired as either single or double action, and the gun’s hammer acts in fact as a cocking device.
A cocking indicator shows the status of the internal hammer. The revolver is rather slim, all thanks to its hexagonal cylinder, keeping the gun’s width to a minimum.
The revolver is currently available in 2”, 4”, 5”, and 6” barrel length models in black or stainless finish.
